The Moulin Rouge star's estranged wife is breaking her silence.

On Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, Eve Mavrakis spoke out about her divorce from Ewan McGregor during an interview with The Sun. "It's disappointing and upsetting," the production designer said of their 22-year marriage ending. "But my main concern is our four children are OK."

As the publication reported, their daughter, 15-year-old Esther, called out her famous father while sharing a song she wrote on social media last week. "Seeing those pictures," she sang in response to leaked photos of McGregor and his new girlfriend kissing, "they're making me cry."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, McGregor, 46, filed for divorce from Mavrakis, 51, on Friday, Jan. 19, citing irreconcilable differences. The Trainspotting actor is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their three minor children, Jamyan, 16, Esther, and Anouk, 6. McGregor and Mavrakis also share daughter Clara, 21. He has stated his willingness to pay spousal support.

Meanwhile, Mavrakis has requested sole physical custody while allowing visitation rights for McGregor. Since their is no prenup to take into consideration, their assets are expected to be divided up evenly.

The former couple met while working on the set of the British crime show Kavanagh QC in 1995, and married that July. While they formally separated on May 28, 2017, the news didn't break until October, after McGregor was spotted kissing his Fargo co-star Mary Elizabeth Winstead at a cafe in London. Mavrakis later addressed his new romance when a fan expressed their support for her on social media. "What can I do?" she wrote.

According to E! News, McGregor made headlines in January when he thanked both women during his acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Limited Series at the 2018 Golden Globes. "I want to take a moment just to say thank you to Eve who always stood by me for 22 years," he said, later adding, "There would be no Ray [the character he plays] without Mary Elizabeth Winstead."
