An influencer who shared her journey after being diagnosed with skin cancer has died at the age of 30.

Patricia Rite, who was born in Huelva, Spain, was diagnosed with the illness four years ago and documented her journey during the last months of her life on TikTok and Instagram.

The influencer had a combined total of nearly 350,000 on her social media platforms as she shared what it was like to live with cancer, and also posted content about fashion and make-up.

Her family confirmed the sad news she had passed away on 16 April in a statement. 

It read: ‘Patricia left us. Her mother and her relatives ask for respect in these hard times.’

‘Thank you to all the people, who in one way or another, gave her support and love during this time, directly or indirectly.’

Patricia’s final post on Instagram was on 5 April, writing: ‘Busy week, I was going to be treated on Tuesday but was finally admitted to hospital and treated on Friday.

‘Since then, bad vomiting with an achy body until yesterday.

‘I couldn’t move from the bathroom and I felt terrible.

‘Today, I feel a little stronger. Since yesterday, I haven’t vomited and I’ve started eating, which I hadn’t done since Friday, and I’m starting to improve.

One fan commented: ‘A huge hug to the whole family, I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart.’

Another said: ‘I cannot believe it. Life is super unfair, Patri.

‘Fly high, ever since I met you, you inspired me. My heart just skipped a beat. RIP precious, and a huge hug to her mother, family and friends.’

While one remarked: ‘No no no. I can’t believe it, I just can’t. I have no words right now.’

As well as being an online influencer, Patricia also appeared on the Spanish reality TV show ‘Mujeres y Hombres y Viceversa’. 

However, after she was diagnosed with skin cancer four years ago, she used her platforms to spread awareness and document her final months. 

At the time, she explained that her diagnosis followed the appearance of a strange mole.
