Stefan Benz is a South African singer-songwriter who is widely recognized for his singles including Cool 4 Me (2019) and Prove ‘Em Wrong (2020), the former having been a #1 hit in South Africa that made him the youngest musician in the history of the country to reach the number 1 spot. He has released several cover songs, one of his most-watched ones being that for Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx, in the past. Stefan has also been the composer of the music for a number of dramas and films like the German television movie Love Is Not Barred (2020). He has garnered more than 10 million views on his eponymous YouTube channel.

He began to sing when he was around 4 years old.
Stefan has recalled that when he was in middle school, his teacher had once signed him up for a singing contest. Stefan had no idea about it nor was he interested in taking part. He was playing cricket and had continued doing so until it was his turn to sing. He went on to advance to the next level of the singing competition and he had kept on advancing until he won. The award had been a song recording and cash and his success had moved him into further competitions through school and to finally landing a contract.
He has revealed that his number Cool 4 Me was about a middle-school girl who he had a big crush on.
Stefan has liked the game of cricket that has been very big in South Africa.
In 2018, at the age of 11, he had entered the World Championship of Performing Arts in Long Beach, California where the noted music producer Manny Mijares was a judge. Mijares had right away signed him to his Hit Music Partners label.
He has been known for his sophisticated dress sense, with him having looked like the perfect gentlemen, whether appearing on a red carpet or having fun with his friends.
Stefan has pointed out how Instagram is not that big in Africa with nobody taking interest in whether an artist is verified on it or not. However, Stefan has been fascinated by how it is the polar opposite in America where people see a person in a completely different light if he or she has been verified on the platform.
